Clarity Therapy & Relational Counseling - Michele Reeves

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in mental wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Michele Reeves, Owner of Clarity Therapy & Relational Counseling, LLC., located in Las Vegas, NV, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Clarity Therapy & Relational Counseling, LLC is a Nevada-based private practice that provides clinical therapy for individuals, couples, and families. The therapeutic practice specializes in couples counseling as well as addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma response, relational conflict, and co-parenting.

Clarity Therapy utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as mindfulness, meditation, hypnotherapy, and attachment awareness, and is rooted in Gestalt, Rogers, and Jungian therapeutic orientations. The clients of Clarity Therapy & Relational Counseling are individuals, couples, and families seeking support in addressing their mental health concerns.

Tell us about yourself

I first began exploring options with establishing a private practice because I was seeking to build a practice that would allow freedom to counsel under an eclectic blend of therapeutic orientations that was specifically catered to a wholesome, therapeutic space and mindfulness theory-based alignment that still met the ethical clinical standards under the regulating board.

I am passionate about my work as it creates daily motivation for the opportunity that has been placed on me to offer guidance to others' life journeys for individuals, couples, and families, to delve deeper into the inner workings of their energetic type and create health and mental well-being.

As an ashtanga yoga practitioner, my practice contributes to how I show up for clients in a therapeutic space to create an influence in my alternative healing offerings. I seek to cultivate a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection, which I live in alignment with as a belief that it is an essential piece to achieving optimal mental health and well-being.

My core offerings in a therapeutic space are to introduce a sense of inner peace and clarity that I can present to others which they may utilize and cater to the specific needs of their lifestyle and sought-after outcome. I am motivated by the challenge of continuous educational learning opportunities and growth as a psychotherapist and the opportunity to create a more wholesome impact on the lives of those I sit with.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My most impressionable accomplishment as a business owner is building a continuously advancing practice. This includes the ability to provide quality services to a diverse client base and create a positive and supportive environment for clients to heal and grow freely. I am proud of creating a sustainable business model that allows me to provide meaningful services.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the more difficult contributing factors to being a small business owner, particularly in the field of private practice, is maintaining the business aspect of running a practice. This includes tasks such as adjustments in laws, regulations, and insurance requirements, maintaining IRS compliance and disbursed payouts, billing, insurance, treatment documentation, paperwork upkeep, licensing renewal, etc., which creates a shift in mindset for the day-to-day task expectations. I simply seek to implement a balance between focusing on the business side of things and providing the best possible care to clients.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
