What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a Napa Valley winery with award-winning wines, making mostly small lots of Napa Cabernet, Zinfandel as well as a few others.

Tell us about yourself

Started with the Mondavi Family in 1975. I was a viticulturist in the '70s and '80s. Started my own brand in 1996. I love the business; it allows me to be creative and make wines people really enjoy.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Creating a successful brand as well as a private label wine business that has grown to cover many countries globally.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Timelines and just not enough hours in the day.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be ready to work long hours.
  2. Learn to adapt to a changing world.
  3. Do not be discouraged when a door closes. Continue to press on.
