Tell us about yourself

I first considered entering the family business while helping to renegotiate the lease for Meurice while working as a commercial real estate broker. My Dad never delegated responsibility and basically worked in the business, not on the business. I saw great potential in the brand. However, the business needed to be modernized and automated. I started full-time in the business in 1985. I read the E-myth by Michael Gerber and immediately adopted the concept. I marvel at what I created from a "Mom and Pop" business. While still a small business, we currently employ 40 persons, down from 50 pre covid. I am passionate about all of our business lines, love the diversification, and appreciate our team members who perform our services, for without them, we could not do the magic we do.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Purchasing our headquarters 16 years ago and remaining in business and prospering through covid.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The ups and the downs are part of you 24/7. It is difficult to disconnect.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Read the Emyth....Make sure you are passionate about what you intend to do. Treat all team members with the utmost respect....
