What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is bespoke, sustainable toilet drops. I believe my customers are the people that care about the planet as well as aesthetics. A tad more discreet as well.
Tell us about yourself
I am someone who has always been in fashion. My brand Flynn Skye was my creative outlet for many years. After being pushed into fast fashion and then COVID happening, I felt the urge to simplify...hence Merde No2 was born.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I always say many people have great ideas, but actually acting on them is a whole different story. That is the first and biggest step in becoming an entrepreneur.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Problems, problems, problems...you cannot make it up. My thing is always to focus on the solution and learn.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Do something you are passionate about. Do not focus on the money. Focus on the product and consumer.
- Learn from your mistakes and move on. If you stress about things, it will be energy wasted that could have been focused on growing your company.
- Be good to the people that work for you. You will spend more time with them than anyone.
- Lastly, have fun and run lean...never know when a pandemic will hit.
