What's your business, and who are your customers?

Holistic mental wellness solutions that target the gut-brain connection. I help women over 40+ to feel and look like their 30s again. The gut is the center of both mental and physical wellness. You may have heard that the gut is the "second brain" as it has its own nervous system. There are over 100 trillion bacteria in the gut whose "good/bad" balance affects how we feel as well as energy, sleep, mental focus, metabolism, menopause symptoms, brain fog, anxiety, depression, etc. Additionally, 70% of your immune system is located in the lining of the gut.

Tell us about yourself

My professional background is in marketing. I have an MBA in marketing along with ten years of experience in corporate marketing, ten years teaching marketing at the college level, and 20 years in network marketing. I started in the industry in 2001 when my first son was 18 months old. I wanted to do something fun and flexible and make money for our family. Since then, I have become a passionate cheerleader for the industry as it gives women an opportunity to create a full or part-time income from home so that they don't have to choose work or home.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I've been able to support women like me to build their own businesses either with me in my company or through my social selling coaching program for women over 40.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

At this point, no support staff.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know what you like and what you're good at.
  2. Find a coach to help you monetize it.
  3. Keep going; you will succeed if you don't give up.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Although my expertise is in marketing, I have become a wellness advocate through my own personal health journey. Being able to combine my love for and marketing skillset with my passion for wellness is a dream come true. I also offer coaching programs for women who want to build with me in my company or their own passion project.
