Tell us about yourself

I'm Lindsay Bowden (the voice behind Meet the Bowdens). I was a high school math teacher for 8 years until I found out I was pregnant with our first baby. That's when I knew I wanted to leave the classroom and start my own business. Six weeks of maternity leave just wasn't cutting it! In 2019, I created an online course for math teachers. That online course allowed me to quit my teaching job, retire my husband, and earn my family multiple 6-figures a year.

Now, I'm on a mission to help other families build a life around their family (not their job). My signature program, Hey Passive Income™, teaches families everything they need to know about starting and growing an online course business that runs on autopilot.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Allowing my husband to retire and stay home with our toddler!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Being 100% responsible for your own success.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Things WILL get hard. Stay consistent even during difficult times.
  2. Take messy action. You won't always know what decision is best until you just try something.
  3. Get a mentor! DIYing everything will cost you time and money. Learn from someone who has achieved what you want to achieve.
