Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in mental wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Erin Alli, Founder of MBS Wellness LLC, located in Seaford, DE, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am an Integrative Mental Health Coach. I work with people of any age who are struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, life changes, and health issues. I work with my clients from where they are, and we dig deep to get to the root cause so they can begin the healing process. I use holistic remedies that they can incorporate into their life, no matter how busy they are, and that they are comfortable with and interested in trying out.

Tell us about yourself

I have studied the brain and gut health for over 15 years. I have a passion for helping people struggling to heal themselves holistically rather than just masking symptoms and still feeling awful. Seeing people begin to feel better and be able to live their life as they want motivates me to show up each day, continually study what I can and learn new aspects of this area, and be there for my clients daily.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is that I can help people to feel better and get their lives back when they initially come to me thinking they will always feel bad and not sure how to get past what is happening.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is that I always want to give more and be more available, but there is a time limit to the day and how much I can do.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know your why. Why do you want this particular business? It needs to be more than just for the money. There must be a purpose behind it, so you continue to show up each day and love your work.
  2. Build your email list right from the start. Don't worry about starting at zero. Everyone does. Be consistent and provide valuable information to your followers.
  3. Know that there are many ways to grow a business. Choose the best ways for you, don't just follow what everyone else thinks you should do or is doing themselves if you really don't like the option or it isn't right to reach your target audience.
