What's your business, and who are your customers?

The British Institute of Homeopathy teaches Classical Homeopathic Medicine to people who wish to become Nationally Certified Homeopathic Practitioners. Our customers are Medical Doctors, Chiropractors, Nurses, medical practitioners, and professionals who wish to change professions.

Tell us about yourself

I had a bad case of Lyme Disease of long-term duration. I was on antibiotics for many years with chronic fatigue and disability. A professional homeopath saved my life. I was so impressed I studied homeopathic medicine and later purchased the school.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Training qualified people who have become outstanding practitioners of homeopathic medicine.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Self-imposed long hours, enjoying what I do so much, it is sometimes hard to keep life in balance.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be passionate about what you are doing.
  2. Do not take shortcuts that will cause you problems down the line.
  3. Expect results to take longer than anticipated.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I am also the owner and manager of a century-old organic farm. We grow medicinal botanicals, herbs, flowers and keep poultry, goats, sheep, and a cow or two.
