What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am the author of the bestselling book Permission To Feel, and I conduct research and speak about the role of emotional intelligence in learning, decision-making, relationship, mental health, and performance.
Tell us about yourself
I want everyone to become an "emotion scientist" - curious explorers of their own and others' lives so they can achieve well-being and success in life.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our approach to teaching the skills of emotional intelligence has reached over 4,500 schools (4M children). Our business approach has reached dozens of companies, including Amazon, Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson, Kohler, and many others. My book has been translated into 22 languages.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Marketing and sales are the most time-consuming/difficult aspect of the work.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
My top 3 tips: plan, plan, and plan.
