What's your business, and who are your customers?
Hola! I am Sandra, Manifesting Chica, Hay House best-selling and award winning author, teacher, and coach. I help Chicas to intentionally manifest a life that loves them back by inviting clarity, overcoming resistance, and taking inspired action.
Tell us about yourself
I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and early on, I started to walk the path that was laid out for me. After University, I continued checking the boxes by pouring myself into a successful 20+ year corporate career, where I got to work with some of the most iconic food brands in the world. My career took me to Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and ultimately to Canada, where I now live. However, I felt like I was trying to chase happiness unsuccessfully, and I was tired. In 2006, I decided to explore what else was possible for me and my life, and it was then that I turned to therapy and spirituality for help. This exploration eventually took me to become a Certified Coach (Transformational Arts College and Erickson International), a Somatic Experience Practitioner (in training), a Reiki Practitioner, and a Certified Angel Card Reader. And I felt more alive than I had ever felt. I now help English and Spanish-speaking Chicas through my social media, my masterclass, my 1:1 sessions, my speaking, and my writing.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
In 2021, my book "Chica, Why Not?" was published by Hay House and is now a best-selling book. In 2022 "Chica, Why Not?" won the International Latino Book Award for Best Spiritual/New Age book. My book has now reached thousands of chicas, helping them in their journey to manifesting awesomeness. I am most proud of hearing their stories, successes, and learnings.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Having patience. It takes time to fine-tune your message, your offerings, etc. But once you get them right, what have out world!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Focus on one offer and continuously validate and improve with feedback from your target customer.
- Work with a coach or with a mastermind! Don’t do this alone.
- Show up! People will never benefit from your gifts if they don’t know who you are.
