What's your business, and who are your customers?
Mami Academy is an online maternity that offers training for pregnancy and maternity. We have a course on physical activity in pregnancy and postpartum recovery, a program to prepare for childbirth and maternal education, and another course on first aid for mothers and fathers. In addition, you can be part of our tribe of mothers and share the experience.
My target customers are pregnant women or women with children who want to feel empowered in the motherhood process. They are highly digitized women who want to be healthy and fit, as well as be good mothers.
Tell us about yourself
I am a midwife and specialist in childbirth preparation. From my health perspective, physical activity occupies a very important place, and it is through exercise that we try to empower women and make them the center of the birth process. Through my courses, I help women increase their chances of natural birth and improve postpartum recovery.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My greatest achievement is that the women who belong to the tribe of mothers feel empowered, strong, and safe. I feel very happy when I introduce myself to their babies through social networks, and they thank me for having accompanied them in the process. Seeing the happy faces of these families is something very enriching.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
In my opinion, one of the hardest things to undertake is dealing with the ups and downs; sometimes, you are in a good moment, and everything is good news, but other times you are in bad economic times, and you have to have the courage to continue. With the project and believe in it. Likewise, I was combining my business with my work as a midwife in the hospital until I decided to bet everything on my company.
