Make & Flourish is a small business consulting community that offers training, guidance, and support to makers and other product-based business owners.

Tell us about yourself

Everyone who knows me knows that my most FAVE thing in the world to talk about is growing a business on Etsy (although bragging about my kids is a close second) 😜. And not just because this amazing platform changed my life but because I witnessed how it’s changed the lives of the thousands of makers I work with every day. Every single day I see the power of Etsy transforming lives within my Flourish community. Seeing women grow thriving businesses to build a stable and joyful future for themselves lights me up!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping thousands of makers build their own successful small businesses.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Wearing all the hats. Sometimes we just want to do what we love, but realizing for that to be successful, we must learn other skills we may not be so passionate about. I’ve learned it’s about balance.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Work on your mindset first. It’s imperative to have a healthy, positive growth mindset to attain the success you seek.
  2. Invest in your business by spending time with a mentor or coach. Someone who has been there and can help guide you along the way.
  3. Invest in product photography. Best money you will spend if you have an online product-based business.
