What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are dedicated to providing our customers with a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. We offer a wide range of services, including laser hair removal (for ALL skin types), body contour, 3-in-1 Oxygeneo super facials and facelifts, spider vein removal, acne treatments, teeth whitening services, and more! Our approach is always customer-oriented, as we want you to feel at ease in our spa.
Tell us about yourself
I started my company because I wanted to be in control of my life and the time I spent working. I have always been passionate about service and customer satisfaction, so when I realized that I could earn an income from these two things, it was a no-brainer. My motivation comes from my daughter; she is my motivation to work hard and make sure we have a bond that will last forever.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Having survived the pandemic - it was hard running a business and making all the payments during the lockdown without having any financial assistance.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
For me, the hardest thing is the lack of funding from financial institutions, so it’s hard to maintain a steady growth flow. Some months are great, and others aren’t. I have to do everything by myself for the most part, and I depleted most of my savings to be able to afford what I have. Banks wouldn’t give me a loan because I hadn’t been in business for two years +
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be patient - the process doesn’t always go according to plan; remember that as long as you have done ALL that you can do, then you will get to where you need to be in time. What’s yours will come
- Believe in yourself - don’t compare yourself to others in your business as their situation is not the same as yours.
- Acknowledge the small wins - take time to pat yourself on the back for getting through each day. It’s not easy being an entrepreneur, so celebrate the small achievements as you go. Take pictures throughout your growth for comparison because sometimes we get overwhelmed with what we haven’t done or achieved yet. On the days that you feel like quitting, go back and go through those pictures and see the progress you have made thus far and trust that you will overcome the current milestone that you are facing.
