What's your business, and who are your customers?
My hair salon is where clients are into fashion and real life collide to create custom colors, gracefully grown-out haircuts, and extensions you can truly live in also while being truly and unapologetically you!
Tell us about yourself
My daughter is my motivation. I was 7 months pregnant when I decided to open the salon, and I wanted to dedicate it to her. This is where I got the name of the salon, Maeve in June, she was born in June. She was part of this amazing journey to opening, and she's the reason why I work so hard every day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is seeing my team's books filled and them building that strong connection with their clients. Having that authenticity that they genuinely care about who sits in their seats while keeping the ambiance of the salon light, free, and fun.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Balancing your work life and mom life was a struggle. Especially opening a salon two months after giving birth but maintaining that balance and finding that consistent schedule on both sides is important.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't second-guess yourself.
