What's your business, and who are your customers?
At MacklinConnection, we know you want meaningful relationships with your friends, family, and coworkers. But first, you need to understand how to connect with others. The problem is that this is not taught in school, and it's not clear where to go for help.
Oftentimes, this makes you feel that there’s something wrong with you.
And you don’t want to end up with a bunch of surface-level relationships with people you can’t trust, leaving you feeling alone.
Tell us about yourself
I realized early in my career that I had a passion for building and leading teams. And I realized that to succeed, I needed to build a deep network of support. I needed to learn why people connect and how they create results together. This realization led me on a 30-year journey that culminated in the creation of the 7-step Macklin Method and the launch of Macklin Connection. I earned a degree in engineering from Kansas State University and quickly grew into leadership positions in my budding career. I grew to lead teams that set nine world records and won dozens of customer satisfaction awards. At Siemens, for example, I led a support division with 350 employees that worked over 5 million hours without a lost-time injury and were voted “the best place to work in Houston” by the Houston Business Journal.
Twice I have created a growth culture responsible for increasing profits by $20 million and have led seven different groups from worst- to best-in-class. Today, I am the president of Macklin Connection, overseeing our programs and extending the reach of the organization worldwide. I continue to lead programs and coach teams and individuals. A Wichita, Kansas native, Koni and I have three adult children, Garrett, Lorin, and Brennan. Being a part of others and others believing in themselves.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Watching our customers shift their lives and businesses to something they love and can believe in themselves.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
So many opportunities, so few hours in a day.
