I provide consultation and brokerage services to private business owners who wish to sell their companies.
Tell us about yourself
Twenty-five years of helping buyers and sellers of small and mid-sized businesses. I have unique and detailed knowledge of an area that few others have, and it gives me great personal satisfaction to be of valuable service to people at life-changing times in their lives.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Maintaining maximum integrity at all times.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Accepting that there will be some disappointing behavior, not often, but nonetheless, it occurs - from clients who are in whom you had confidence and trust.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Have a well-thought-out and credible business plan.
- Make sure you have adequate working capital, and then double that.
- Be prepared for failures, so develop the habit of reacting on a timely basis to take corrective action. (You might consider purchasing an existing business, which is already well established and profitable.)
