Tell us about yourself
I founded LUXXE | HONOR in 2014 with the goal of educating people on the toxins found in personal care products and the importance of decreasing everyday stress. As a registered nurse, aromatherapist, and oncology-certified aesthetician, I am motivated by helping others on a deeper wellness level, supporting de-stressing, and keeping life balanced mindfully.
I believe that many of our health issues today are related to a weak gut caused by the inability to metabolize toxins. I also believe that people are suffering emotionally and physically not only because of toxins in food and air but also of personal care products. There are so many harmful ingredients in American products that are banned in Europe and other countries, and these toxins are causing havoc on our bodies.
My three girls had severe gut issues and allergies, and we went from doctor to doctor for many years. After seeking natural remedies such as gluten-free options, organic food, and safe products, the healing began both physically and emotionally.
I am on a crusade against toxins and stress to make healthy, clean products and educate people on ways to lead healthier and happier lives. I believe that internal purity radiates exterior beauty! That's why I offer a wide array of alternative natural products and health-enhancing services through my wellness company, Luxxe | Honor, and the Luxxe | Honor wellness studio is a one-stop shop that rejuvenates and empowers people with knowledge, health- and beauty-enhancing services, and non-toxic, natural products that lift them to higher levels of physical and mental wellness.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
As a business owner, there is always a true sense of success and accomplishment when I see a customer start their personal wellness journey here at Luxxe Honor. Helping people achieve true wellness and joy in their everyday lives while teaching them mindfulness and what it means to enact proper self-care is the biggest accomplishment for anyone on the Luxxe Honor team.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest challenges is helping individuals realize that self-care is essential and not just a luxury. Wellness of your mind, body, and spirit is crucial in order to live your healthiest, happiest life.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Stay focused and always take steps (small and large) to move closer to your goals.
- Surround yourself with a cheering squad and mentors to help motivate you and advise you as needed.
- Practice mindfulness for even 5 minutes a day and believe in yourself, putting positive energy towards accomplishing your goals.
