Passion, Purpose & Abundance - Lumiere Energy Healing
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Cynthia Martin, CEO of Lumiere Energy Healing, located in Pasadena, CA, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is dedicated to empowering conscious professionals, entrepreneurs, and emerging visionary leaders in their spiritual journey to become self-actualization and access higher levels of consciousness so they can gain mastery of their minds and energy to create their dream reality of impact and prosperity with purpose. Many of the methods I use to deliver a bespoke approach to help my clients are coaching, hypnotherapy, energy medicine, and energy psychology, all integrated to make the deepest impact at the level of the subconscious mind for lasting change and empowerment.
Tell us about yourself
I am on a mission to activate the greater potential of conscious leadership for those seeking more than the ordinary in both life and business by providing programs that use transformational methods and tangible science-based frameworks that work at the level of the superconscious. Using an integrative whole-person approach, I can help you achieve the fastest and easiest path to healing and reprogramming yourself to naturally live and operate at your best in health, happiness, wealth, and success as you are meant to.
As someone who has always been unfit to fit in, I struggled most of my life with finding my place in the world, so I followed all the rules of success that I was being taught by all the well-intentioned people in my life. Although I achieved lots of success in reaching important milestones in my career in corporate leadership and life, according to that paradigm, I always felt I was meant for more, and there was something missing, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I spent decades searching for more, so I dedicated my life to training, doing my personal development and learning from all the gurus, experts, and leaders out there, and doing all the things they said to do. I watched my thoughts and my words, focused on my desires, did vision boards, changed habits, and although I was speaking and thinking positively, doing all the "right" things but still felt empty and incomplete inside.
It was after a dramatic and traumatic entry into parenthood that everything changed. I wasn't finding help or answers in the conventional places of medicine or therapy. I was struggling and even suffering until I was led to find answers in unconventional medicine, mind sciences, and ancient wisdom teachings which have allowed me to realize my authenticity, passion, and purpose.
More importantly, I now help so many others like me who are silently struggling and suffering, knowing they are meant for more, to realize they are not broken, don't need to be fixed, and instead, that their pain has a purpose and they have unrealized potentials designed for them to live great lives where they also can leave their mark on the world and serve others in an impactful way only they can.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
This may be unexpected to read, but I would have to say that my biggest accomplishment as a business owner is having worked on developing my wealth consciousness and failing greatly from the start. What I mean is that because I understand success is an inner game first, I made it a priority, and as a result, I was able to continuously pivot my business. Just like so many other businesses, mine took a massive hit. It came to a complete halt because the model I had no longer could be supported. Thankfully, instead of being devastated permanently, I pivoted quickly and began to rebuild and now see it as a blessing in disguise because I am more aligned with the time and money freedom that I intended for me and my family, which in part was why I started my business in the first place and I couldn't be more thrilled.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the most difficult things I have found in my personal experience as a business owner is doing it all alone without a plan or roadmap, the right guidance, systems, or support to implement what works. This is the common theme amongst the business owners and entrepreneurs that I have the privilege of mentoring. They end up wasting valuable time, energy, and money doing all the wrong things. Regrettably, it is the reason why 20% of businesses fail in the first year. With the change in the business landscape from COVID, 90% of startups failed in 2019, according to the Small Business Administration (SBA). But the good news is that it doesn't have to be this way, and there are lots of tools and support available for business at every level; the key is finding what that is for you and your business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
First, I highly encourage investing in a coach, mentor, or teacher that supports you in upgrading your mindset to a resilient wealth consciousness, so you are prepared to receive and manage the wealth, abundance, and success you deserve. Be sure it's someone who also knows how to help you leverage your strengths, gifts, and talents to ensure you are spending your valuable energy and time on the things that are right for you and your business according to your unique success design.
Second, an essential thing for anyone trying to start, run or grow a business is to find a community of like-hearted and like-minded people on the same path with similar values. Being an entrepreneur or business owner is guaranteed to bring you many ups and downs that not everyone will understand, so the community is essential, which is why building communities for radical thinkers and visionaries is so critically important for me. Providing my clients a community where they feel understood and supported is priceless because the DIY model doesn't cut it anymore. Frankly, it's unnecessary to struggle in solitude when there are so many awesome people out there for you to grow with #BetterTogether.
And my third essential tip for anyone daring enough to take the leap into entrepreneurship is that you must put tools and systems in place that are designed to remove you from the weeds of operations so you can measure your progress, define and refine what works and what doesn't and most of all allow your business to grow without it being 100% dependent on your accessibility, availability and time. One of the worst and most costly mistakes most of us make as business owners is that we become the cog in the system that prevents our growth and prosperity, which unfortunately end up paying the price with our relationships, self-care, and life enjoyment because we become married to our business instead of experiencing the time and money freedom we intended to achieve when we started them.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
One last thing that I think is just even more important to highlight than the first three tips above which is the need to make self-care a success strategy for all people, regardless if it's someone in business, starting one if you're in a 9-5 career or even if you're CEO of your household homeschooling, raising your kids to be outstanding humans or CEO Executive of a large company. The fact is that we have all, as humans, endured life-altering changes over the course of these past two years with the pandemic. The reality is that many were already struggling even before then, so we must make mental health a priority for all, and it starts with inner self-care of tending to your internal needs of peace, calm, safety, and security. Feeling good is normal, and if you don't feel good within your own heart and mind, then no external success will ever be enough to fill that gap. So, if you don't know where to begin, start simple and make time to breathe, appreciate anything that you can identify as good, and do it daily until it gets easier. If you're really committed to going all-in towards living the life you deserve, then get a coach or mentor or find a community that is living what you desire and build from there.
