What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a life and business coach, mentor, and strategist. I work primarily with women to help them find their purpose, passion, and path.

Tell us about yourself

After surviving 3 open-heart surgeries, a superbug that tried to kill me, depression, and losing 5 family members in 4 years, I decided to share my skills in persistence, emotional intelligence, and emotional support, among other skills, with those struggling to find their way.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Conducting my first seminar at sea this month (Self Care at Sea Experience) after 10 months of planning.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Realizing that you don't get to spend 100% of the time doing just what you love. When you start out, you have to do a lot of things outside that scope until you can afford to hire out or bring on staff.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be open to non-traditional ways of getting your business off the ground.
  2. Learn to ask for help and accept help. You DON'T (and CAN'T) do it all alone!
  3. Put yourself in your client's shoes. What do they need? And then give them MORE.
