A Design-Centered Gifting Studio - Loved and Found

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Liz Vidrine, founder of Loved and Found, located in Addison, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Loved and Found is a design-centered gifting studio creating visually compelling gift boxes for all occasions. By combining impeccable packaging and elevated products, our boxes are too special not to share.  Our clients range from someone looking for a unique gift for a friend to a large company looking to send appreciation to hundreds of employees or clients. Our team is full of self-diagnosed perfectionists (many of which are ex-designers) so everything down to the shipping label is handled with the utmost care.

Tell us about yourself

Before starting Loved and Found, I worked in the textile design industry for over a decade. I spent those years in New York and Los Angeles, designing home products for iconic brands such as Martha Stewart, Michael Kors, and Laura Ashley. Taking skills I developed as a designer, I launched Loved and Found which was founded on the idea to create visual stories through the curation of our gift boxes.  Developing new gift collections to best serve our clients while focusing on fresh and beautiful design is what gets me excited to come to the office each day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

One of the most rewarding parts of this business is having the opportunity to support other small businesses when sourcing items to include in our gift boxes.  We are honored and proud to have supported hundreds of small businesses over the years.  As a fully women-owned and operated business, one of our core values at Loved and Found is to primarily source products made and sold by women.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner is that your to-do list is never made. If you want to continue to grow you must consistently be adding to that list!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

1. Just start (even if it's not perfect).

2. Be flexible (your business might not be what you first imagined).

3. Make sure you are taking time to grow your business and not just run your business (hire before you think you need to!)
