Tell us about yourself
Making an impact in the jewelry industry and knowing the technologies we help create are adding to a sustainable future.
Do you have daily rituals for work / wellness / fitness / mindfulness?
Morning Routine- I love starting the day in a zen zone. It's all about some chill time with a cup of coffee and catching up on the news. This helps me wake up and create a positive vibe for my day ahead.
Workday Routine-During the day, I'm a big fan of the Pomodoro Technique. It's like mini sprints. I have power bursts of intense focus, and then after, I'll indulge in a quick game on my phone (I love Wordle). It keeps things fun and productive!
I also make sure to take at least an hour for lunch. It's my time to refresh and recharge, which is super important for keeping me focused and energized throughout the day.
Nightly Routine-Before bed, I like to clear my mind of all the worries about the next day. To do that, I sit down and jot down my priorities and goals for the following day. It's like setting a roadmap for success. I will also take a peek at my calendar to get a glimpse of what the next day holds, ensuring I'm fully prepared and ready to hit the ground running come morning.
Lastly, I'm all about establishing a consistent sleep schedule. Quality sleep is key for me. Without the right amount of sleep, I can assure you I turn into a monster. lol
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Creating a successful business that has lasted over ten years. We were pioneers in the industry when purchasing secondhand was frowned upon, and we were able to grow and establish a flourishing business as well as help change the stigma about buying secondhand, which is now more popular than ever.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing is maintaining an excellent work-life balance. When you own a business, your day never ends. You have to learn how to prioritize. Also, when things go wrong, the onus is on you.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Perseverance- Do not give up, even when things get difficult.
- Having Tenacity- You need determination and discipline to see your business through.
