Old Coins to Unique Jewelry - Lost Things Coin Jewelry

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in jewelry but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Christina Levagood, Founder of Lost Things Coin Jewelry, located in Victoria, BC, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is unique, hand-made jewelry. I use old coins and antique silverware to create one-of-a-kind pieces. My customers are anyone that wants high-quality and unique jewelry.

Tell us about yourself

My grandfather started teaching me to carve coins when I was young. I immediately developed a passion for turning old things into something new. Each day I am motivated by the love of what I do, my daughter, and the memory of my grandfather.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

That would have to be the day I quit my retail job and threw everything at making a living off what I love.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The all-in-one job of it. CEO, CFO, marketing manager, labour's, etc. And not having a steady paycheck.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Provide amazing customer service.
  2. Get online.
  3. Make sure you have a nest egg.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I am eternally grateful to my customers for their support. It allows me to continue doing what I do, and I appreciate that more than I can express.
