What's your business, and who are your customers?

After years of working with consumer brands, I decided to focus on helping other entrepreneurs follow their dreams and build their businesses. I focus on consumer products from idea to scaled growth.

Tell us about yourself

I'm a 7th generation Oregonian, a mother of three, and I co-founded and scaled what became a global brand (Oregon Chai). I've been in the food and beverage industry for around 25 years. I became an entrepreneur because I was interested in the challenge of tackling new problems each and every day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment has been helping other entrepreneurs convert ideas into products and bring them to the masses. It's incredibly fulfilling to go to my local market and know that I really know the inspiration behind so many products and had a hand in helping some of them get to that point.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Business is hard, especially new businesses. Even the most successful companies have more than their fair share of bad days, and it can be terrifying. Remembering to believe in yourself and your product and why yours is different than everybody else can be hard when everything isn't working perfectly.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Believe in yourself.
  2. Commit yourself - starting a business is a 24/7 commitment.
  3. Keep learning!

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I'm working every day to be the person my dogs think I am!
