Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal care but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Shea Phillips, Founder of Little House of Brows, located in Montgomery, TX, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a paramedical tattoo artist, and my customers are those who seek a re-boost in confidence. I specialize in Microblading, Powder Brows, Nano Brows, SMP, Scar Camouflaging, Lip Blushing, Eyeliner & much more!
Tell us about yourself
I began this amazing journey approximately 5 years ago when I created Little House of Brows. If you had told me then how much my business would grow, how many artists I would motivate, and that I would boost confidence in these INCREDIBLE women, I would have been in disbelief. When I am not in my studio altering the way women see themselves, I am enjoying family time with my boys. I am a devoted military wife, mother, and all-around lover of life itself. Here at Little House of Brows, you get more than just permanent make-up. You will leave with newfound self-esteem. I have found if you don’t feel comfortable in your own skin, you are more likely to miss out on opportunities. I can help! Little changes can make the biggest difference. You can’t put a price tag on confidence! I promise to share my love for beauty, art, and zest for life.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My most significant accomplishment thus far is growing into the artist I am. I am a full-scale artist offering a full range of paramedical skills to bring lasting permanent confidence to my clientele.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
I think one of the hardest things about being a business owner is knowing you no longer work 9-5, this business is my baby, and I work more now than I ever have. Entrepreneurs have independence, flexibility, and control, but the risk and reward of financial gain or loss fall on their shoulders as well. Business ownership requires sacrifice, determination, and resilience, including long hours and administrative burdens…but I would choose this over and over, forever! 💕
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Hard work, hustle, determination, and never taking NO as the answer. Keep going if you believe in your dream.
