Make the Right Decisions About Your Marketing - Lisa Noble
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Lisa Noble, founder of The Vivid Glam Beauty, located in Southfield, MI, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I help established entrepreneurs uncover and articulate their brand's uniqueness so they can position themselves as the expert that shows out and stands out as the go-to powerhouse presence in their industry.
Tell us about yourself
Straight out of college, I started creating web and graphic designs for small business owners. The designs I created were "gorgeous" and "Stunning,"...my client's words, lol. But no one was getting traffic. I built it, but they did not come. I took some time to hone my skills and learn on the job. While working for corporate companies and ad agencies on accounts like Coke, Pepsi, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Marvel, and other big brands, I found what was missing from my process. It was the strategy.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
As a branding and marketing agency owner, my biggest accomplishment has been to help consultants transform their brand's presence in the market. I have been able to assist clients in creating strategic plans to develop their brand's image and improve their reach and visibility. Through the introduction of my Strategic Brand Shake Up VIP Day Experience, I have been able to help clients strategize and create strong, memorable campaigns that have increased their ROI and achieved higher levels of customer loyalty. Through my expertise, I have also been able to help clients create effective marketing strategies that have made a measurable, positive impact on their bottom line. I am proud of the success my clients have achieved and look forward to continuing to help them grow.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The responsibility. I am responsible for planning, budgeting, marketing, developing new products and services, and managing customer relationships. There is also the added pressure of ensuring that my business reaches its goals and objectives and is successful. I have had to learn to spend my money on hiring good people so that I can delegate some things and create some balance. I also have family and friends I want to spend time with. In the past, it has been hard to step back and trust that the work will get done without my hands being involved. But now I have good people I trust to do the work while I create the strategic plan to help my clients succeed.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
