What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a life and wellness coach specializing in stress management, burnout prevention, and health and wellness.

Tell us about yourself

I spent 26 years in the corporate retail sector. I became the stressed, burned-out, unhealthy professional that I now serve. When I left the corporate world, I started my personal wellness journey, losing 65 pounds. For the past 10.5 years, I've helped thousands of individuals lose weight and get healthy by developing sustainable healthy habits.

In May of 2020, I started my Success Coaching practice, incorporating life coaching. I have a passion for helping stressed, and burned-out business professionals create balance in their life and get healthy. I understand what it feels like to hit a wall and feel helpless. There is so much more to life. Regardless of where you are in your life journey, it's not too late, and you're not too old to live your best life.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

This summer, I am publishing my first book, From Burnout to Best Life.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

It's so easy to allow fear to paralyze you. Insecurities will arise. Pushing through fear is necessary for growth and goal achievement.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get a coach, mentor, or accountability partner to help you create your vision, build your business plan, and hold you accountable for your goals.
  2. DON'T GIVE UP! You will have great days, not-so-good days, and days where you want to give up. Lean on your coach, accountability partner, mentor, and a tribe of supportive friends to keep you motivated and on task.
  3. Protect your energy. Surround yourself with positive, supportive people. Limit your exposure to naysayers and negative influencers. Set healthy boundaries. Schedule regular self-care.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Never stop learning and growing. Surround yourself with people you aspire to be like. Read self-improvement books. Listen to podcasts that will inspire you.
