What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a Holistic Nutritionist, and I work with people who have lost track of a healthy lifestyle and are experiencing health problems as a result. This can be everything from acid reflux to type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, and even cancer. I help them make changes over time to bring themselves back into balance. This is never a one size fits all, as every person has different needs based on age, sex, genetics, medical history, and current lifestyle (i.e., health, work, raising kids, retirement, etc.)
Tell us about yourself
I have a marketing background and ran my own company for years while I raised my daughters. I had breast cancer, and it motivated me to make some drastic changes in my life, so I went back to school to become a Holistic Nutritionist.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Number one is successfully helping my clients with their health. Also, I am currently being recruited by a wellness company in Dubai.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
It can be lonely; everything is on you.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Have a plan.
- Do what you love and are passionate about.
- Start small and build a quality product or service.
