What's your business, and who are your customers?

I guide and encourage women over 50 to make a lifestyle change to help them improve their overall health and a trimmer self.

Tell us about yourself

At age 53, I had been overweight for over 20 years. I had tried numerous ways to lose weight and still had not succeeded. With this lifestyle plan, I have now been at my ideal weight for over seven years and even lost a little more a few years later. I know how hopeless and frustrating it feels as an older woman, and now I am passionate about showing other women that they are never too old to get healthier and trimmer. I love seeing my clients experience the joy of knowing that they have truly improved their own health and feel confident with the way they look and feel each day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Seeing how I can help other people work towards changing their lives for the better in their health and the way that continues to grow over time more and more.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Realizing that you need to spend a great amount of time in your business to inform and promote what you are able to help others with rather than just helping others with the problems you can lead them to solve.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Do the kind of business you feel passionate about; it will help you to want to keep going when the going gets tough.
  2. Always do more for your customers/clients than what they expect, over-deliver, and "wow" them whenever you can.
  3. Keep putting yourself out there, keep trying new things to see what works best for you, and don't quit. Your next "breakthrough" could be waiting for you.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Honesty and integrity are so important in business. You want a good reputation since word about you from others is of great importance. Simply do unto others as you would want them to do unto you.
