What's your business, and who are your customers?

Linda Grams is a delicious, delectable gourmet graham cracker made with simple ingredients and lots of love. Our customers are everyone who enjoys a tasty treat that can be eaten alone or paired with wine, cheese, ice cream, and peanut butter.

Tell us about yourself

I have been baking since I was 12. Cookies were my favorite treat to make using basic ingredients in my mother's kitchen. Fast forward 50+ years when I started baking these gourmet graham crackers for family events, and they were always a hit. My adult children suggested that we start a business where we would sell the graham crackers. We developed a marketing plan, and Linda Grams was born. I had always had an entrepreneurial spirit and had envisioned starting a business when I retired. I retired in 2017 and started Linda Grams in 2021. I am motivated daily by the joy of being independent and building this legacy.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My greatest accomplishment has been successfully branding and marketing a product that puts smiles on folks' faces. I am proud that we were able to do this as a family, and each member of our family has a skill set that has contributed to our success.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Establishing your brand and staying relevant.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Identify your customer base and determine if there is an interest/need for your business.
  2. Develop a business plan.
  3. Establish a business network.
