What's your business, and who are your customers?
Liliana Montoya Swim is a beach lifestyle brand. We are focused on creating products like bikinis, trikinis, family matching outfits, hats, towels, accessories, jewelry, sandals, bags, and all the relative products for all our summer year-long essentials.
Our customer loves colors, prints, and high-end details; cares about the environment; supports sustainability; and has a younger spirit as our pieces reflect their personality.
Tell us about yourself
I started my journey as a fashion designer, modeling my designs. My daily motivation is to help other women feel confident and beautiful with my brand and by example, as I am aware of how important our daily rituals are, as well as by contributing to our community with our nonprofit organization, #sizeyourheart.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have been in the swimwear industry since 2006. I love every step of my journey, from sketching to manufacturing to visualizing the campaigns and producing the fashion shows.
This year hit a significant milestone. I am so proud to open the doors of my boutique at Lincoln road, Miami Beach, Fl, where I can get close and personal with my clients.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As a business owner with no financial investors, I have to make it a priority to succeed. I have to chase the vision and not the money, as eventually the money comes when there is love involved in everything we do.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Believe in yourself when society has a lot of rejection.
- Constancy is key to getting results and trusting in your inner power.
- Your gifts are unique, which is your treasure to contribute to a better world.
