Coaching Magnificent Mindsets - Lilach Bullock

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Lilach Bullock, Founder of Lilach Bullock Limited, located in London, UK.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm a business consultant, professional speaker, and content marketer. I work with entrepreneurs, SMEs, and brands helping them to grow and scale their businesses.

Tell us about yourself

I've been building and selling businesses for over 18 years. I first started when I had our daughter nearly 19 years ago. At the time, the company I worked at wouldn't let me work part-time, so I decided to set up on my own to spend more time with her. I'm blessed to do what I love every day. I get my motivation (and inspiration) from my clients, helping them surpass their goals and also my own motivation. I strive to be the best version of myself every day - some days are better than others :-D

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being a professional speaker and traveling worldwide has been an enormous personal accomplishment, especially as I was petrified of speaking in public! Just being able to survive (and thrive) over 18 years, it's not easy, and with so many businesses that only survive up to 2-3 years, I'm proud that I'm still here!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

So many! Building resilience and learning to cope with the stresses, the no's, and doing hard things consistently.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know your numbers - be obsessed with them - and don't focus on vanity metrics. Engagement doesn't equal ROI. Know your cost per acquisition.
  2. Be exceptionally disciplined and organised. We all have the same amount of time, and how you use it, i.e., the more efficient and effective you can be in the same amount of time, massively helps you achieve more just by working smarter.
  3. Take risks. And often, the bigger the risks, the bigger the payoff. Don't play safe. Get outside of your comfort zone. Do the things that scare you, make you uncomfortable, and dream bigger than you can imagine.
