What's your business, and who are your customers?

Lighting the Path provides integrative mental health coaching and consultation to individuals and organizations. We navigate stressors to make sustainable, lifelong changes. We investigate barriers, navigate solutions, and identify needs for optimal wellbeing and performance. As a National Certified Counselor and Integrative Mental Health Coach, I will illuminate your individual strengths or your organization's strengths to create the path toward transformation! My approach is holistic and systems-based, so I can evaluate the "problem" from a 10,000-foot view and provide you with effective, lasting solutions.

Tell us about yourself

I grew tired of working through gatekeepers and bureaucracy. What motivates me every day is feeling free and creative in what I do, how I offer my services and give my gifts to help people and organizations.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Quitting my day job and making Lighting the Path my passion and my job!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Pacing. Knowing how hard to push and when to rest.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Breathe through the discomfort. You'll come out the other side stronger.
  2. Ground yourself and use discretion when listening to other business and marketing "experts."
  3. Building a business truly is a labor of love. Be consistent. Be focused. Be humble. Be open.
