What's your business, and who are your customers?

LighthousePE is a marketing automation software platform for apps. Its ability to create one-to-one personalized communications will drive significant increases in revenue for a brand through its App.

Tell us about yourself

I have started and run several businesses. A bit of a serial entrepreneur, some may say. Some wins but also many failures. I love the challenges of starting something new and growing it. The game of business motivates me every day.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being in business for almost 25 years. Over this time, I have started running several businesses. One of those has been in business for almost 25 years.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Balance! Balance work, family, community, and many other things. Each day brings a challenge, which is how you balance those challenges and react.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Make sure you have the full support of your spouse, partner, and family.
  2. Don't do it for the money. Do it because you have a passion for it.
  3. Be Ok with failure. Just a learning experience that prepares you for the next venture.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Just because you start something, never stop learning and growing. Find a community of like-minded entrepreneurs (Entrepreneurs Organization EO, for example) and take full advantage of it. Some say it can be lonely as an entrepreneur, but this is only if you let it be!
