What's your business, and who are your customers?
Our business is a health and wellness-centered space where people from all walks of life come for treatments that treat the whole body, mind, and soul holistically. Our clients know when they come that they are treated with love and care and treated like family. We call them our butterflies! Our clients know when they walk in or shop online, they are getting handmade skincare made with organic ingredients, body care they can use on the whole family, and supplements that are of the highest quality and that I have done extensive research on to make sure the ingredients are pure, natural and effective. We sell our own line of essential oils that is pure, organic, and of the highest quality you can find on the market. We sell these at affordable prices because we truly believe that the plant power of all essential oils should be available to everyone on this planet! Our customers are those who are planet-conscious, body conscious, and want more out of this life than just what they're being told to accept!
Tell us about yourself
I struggled with my own health journey after a near-death experience over 30 years ago. After chemical medication seemed to fail at meeting my needs, I decided to take the natural route and use homeopathic remedies. As a result, I turned to jogging, scuba diving, and karate, activities I believed I would never be able to do again. After seeing that nature-made foods build up the body while manmade foods tear it down. I quickly realized that not a lot of people knew this information. There are only three things that keep up alive:
- The air we breathe.
- The liquids we drink.
- The foods we eat.
We are meant to eat to live, not live to eat. I sought to teach this information and opened up my own college, Aromatherapy for Natural Health and Beauty, in South Africa. It was the only college of its kind, and my husband Errol and I worked together to teach students from all over the world that you are what you eat and you should not wait to take care of your health before it's too late! I stay motivated every day because I know this lifestyle works; I live it every day as I choose to feed my body with the best whole nature-made foods and use products that work synergistically with our bodies!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Assisting and helping people to the best of my ability with absolute sincerity. I love to see when people make little changes in their lives that impact their whole way of thinking, being, and feeling for the better!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
You have to absolutely love the work you are doing because it takes very hard work every day for many, many hours to keep things going. Your business is constantly on your mind, night and day, and you are always focused on keeping it running smoothly and consistently!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Be true to yourself, and know that when you are true to your path, your passions, and your truth, you will always be exactly where you need to be!
- Follow your gut! If something feels off, listen! If something feels right, go with it!
- Be honest in your dealings - Be certain to deliver what you promise and never give less - rather, give more!
