What's your business, and who are your customers?
Functional Holistic Health Coaching. I help men and women of all ages learn the WHYs behind their symptoms and dis-ease and then teach them how to take their health back into their hands. I use food, supplements, and lifestyle modification.
Tell us about yourself
I am a pharmacist turned holistic! I saw what medications do and, most importantly, do not do to reverse chronic health conditions. Instead, prescriptions act as a bandaid, masking the true reasons for illness. I have my own health issues that were not resolved by conventional medicine; rather, it was the work I'm doing now that corrected my personal health issues. What motivates me every day are the messages I get from my patients about how they are off certain medications, not relying on over-the-counter drugs, how they were able to avoid antibiotics, how they haven't been sick, and how they are sleeping better and more. Helping people feel better and teaching them lifelong tips for continued success.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Not having any business background, yet still thriving as a business owner. Proud of myself for stepping outside of my comfort zone and leaving a very cushy job to embark on the journey of entrepreneurship.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner is wearing all of the hats. I am the bookkeeper, the scheduler, the clinician, the marketing director, the social media person, and more. Every day is different; it is about learning to a role with the punches.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't let fear hold you back. When it gets hard, don't give up. Every problem is temporary.
- start a business doing what you love to do, something that comes easy. Then, it won't feel like work.
- YouTube can teach you anything.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Always be honest and always do the right thing. Act as if every customer is your mother.
