What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm here to eradicate burnout because we all deserve to love our lives and jobs. I help people find calm, confidence, and direction in their jobs and beyond. I love helping people who struggle with procrastination, people-pleasing, saying no, and chasing perfection.

Tell us about yourself

I'm the Burnout Coach because my brain's go-to state is burnout. I've burned myself out in jobs, relationships - you name it, I've done it. I've had to teach my brain how to stay out of burnout, so I'm passionate about teaching others. Burnout is just a habit, so it's something we can easily change. It's transformed how I work and live, so I teach easy sustainable change.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I work 1:1 with my clients for six months, and I just hit serving 200 people in the life of my business. It feels so amazing to know that I've helped 200 people better understand themselves to get what they want. I've helped people change careers, start and grow businesses, and start families. Some of my clients didn't know what they wanted to be when they grew up, and we tackled that together. I've helped people have better relationships with their partners, bosses, family, and direct reports. It feels really good to be able to help people.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things I've found is having your own back as a business owner. It's easy to second-guess yourself, doubt your abilities, or beat yourself up, so it's important to be on to your brain and the story it's telling you. It's one of the biggest pieces I focus on with myself and my clients.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know you can do it - I know if you want it, there's a good reason. And that good reason means that you can accomplish what you want. So would it feel to be where you want to be? Visualizing and feeling into it ahead of time helps remind your brain that you can do it. Know I'm rooting for you.
  2. Let go of the "how" - You don't have to know every step to get there. Start where you are and watch out for overwhelm (one of your brain's favorite ways to keep you stuck). Focus on the next best step and remind your brain that's all you need to do - take it one step at a time.
  3. Have fun with it - The pressure to succeed and not fail can suck the fun out of building a business. So it's really important to have fun with the process. You'll draw people to you, and opportunities will flow when you allow yourself to have fun with the process, both in and outside your business.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Sometimes your motivation in your business will wane. You'll go through periods that feel hard. Maybe you loved working in your business in the past but finding the joy in it right now feels difficult. Or it can feel hard to get back to the things you used to love about your work.
