What's your business, and who are your customers?

I'm the owner of LexGetRAW, a wedding, and commercial photography business. I love working with fun, chill couples that appreciate my art and candid photos.

Tell us about yourself

My grandpa was always the camera guy. And I loved that, since I was a kid, I wanted to document life like he did. But my dad actually suggested that I save some money to get a camera and see where it takes me. I kept shooting and shooting and fell in love with the craft. I like to document people's life, and even if I've taken the same photos with different couples over and over... the fact that my couples will treasure these images for the rest of their lives motivates me to do the best job I can do.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Make people smile and sometimes even cry with joy with the service I give.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Balance my business with my personal life. I love being a photographer, documenting life, and being there for my clients. But I need to remind myself that this is not the most important thing in my life. God and my family that's what matter the most. And as a business owner, having that balance sometimes is really, really hard.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

What are your goals in life? Having your own business is not for everyone, and that is okay.
Have an end result in life, but enjoy the process.
