Legal Writing Launch provides a comprehensive and efficient writing tutorial designed to transform students’ legal writing skills.

Tell us about yourself

I am a law professor and former Deputy Attorney General. In these capacities, I have mentored students in their legal writing skills for more than 30 years. I started my business to help the challenged student reach his/her/their potential—pass the Bar that the student has failed, succeed at the student’s workplace when the student is at risk of losing a job, preparing for law school.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is my satisfaction in seeing Legal Writing Launch’s students reach their potential.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things about being a solopreneur is having the patience to watch the business mature over time.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

The top three tips I would give to an entrepreneur are:

  1. Have enough funding to start the business.
  2. Find the best specialists to assist, meaning those who will understand your business and have the skill set to help.
  3. Stay clear of generic marketers.
