What's your business, and who are your customers?
I have a professional makeup artistry company. I offer makeovers all over the world. My customers are brides, models, music artists, TV and film, and also clients that just want a change and to learn different makeup techniques. Some of my clients have included Tech N9ne, Dancing With The Stars, The Travel Channel, MTV, YMCA Billboards, MTV, and many more! I would love readers to support my business because I work hard at what I do! I have 26 years of experience, and I absolutely love to make a difference in people's lives. I feel like makeup helps make people feel beautiful, and I love to see my clients happy, and I just love to see the change I can make in their lives!
Tell us about yourself
I am a self-taught makeup artist, and I've had a natural talent since I was the young age of 10 years old. Cindy Crawford has always been my idol. When I was a little girl, I would cut pictures of her out of magazines and tape them next to my mirror and copy her makeup to a T! My mom knew then I had a natural talent! I then started inviting girls over to my house that was not so fortunate to make them over because I wanted them to feel good about themselves it made their whole day!! What motivates me each day is getting a chance to change someone else's life. I have helped women with depression and anxiety and women with mental illnesses to feel better about themselves.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishments would be working for Dancing With The Stars, The Travel Channel, MTV, and Tech N9ne, and also doing makeup for billboards all over the United States!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things as a business owner would be just being able to get bigger wedding parties finished on time. I've never had an issue with that, but it's always something I get a little nervous about, but it always ends up going smoothly!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Consistency always is on time and works in a professional manner.
- Get yourself out there, promote yourself and always take pictures of your work!
- Always follow up with your clients to make sure they are happy with your services and if there is anything they may have wanted different.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I believe you can do anything you want to do in this life. If you want it bad enough, go out and make it happen! You are in charge of your own life, and you can do whatever you put your mind and heart to! We have one life, and we should live it to the fullest and do what we truly love!
