What's your business, and who are your customers?
Our business is a multidisciplinary physical therapy studio serving our surrounding community and beyond. Our customers are anyone who feels the need to move better to live a better life.
Tell us about yourself
I’ve always known I wanted to create the change I wanted to see in the business of physiotherapy. When I started, the norm was to establish a transactional relationship with clients, see multiple clients during an hour, and apply temporary solutions to ease the pain. Now, I can control the quality of care in my practice, see fewer people, and create relationships with our clients where we co-create long-lasting solutions and improvements for our clients.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
To be able to build a team of practitioners that care as deeply as I do about our clients and their well-being.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
To constantly have to deal with changes and challenges, but it’s also the thing that makes it fun. Navigating and adapting are all part of the game.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Think about the “why” of your business. Not your product, but the reason behind it.
- Are you ready for a lifelong commitment? Businesses are 24/7 if you want them to succeed.
- Have you considered finding a good partner? A good business partner is like a spouse. Always there to support you, but also call you out on your shortcomings.
