What's your business, and who are your customers?

Tell us about yourself

Before launching my brand, I was a Sittings Editor at Cosmopolitan Magazine. I spent a lot of my time on beauty shoots, working with the best models, makeup artists, hairstylists, and photographers. I felt that once the lashes were on point, the face really became alive! When I saw the transformation happen over and over, I knew I wanted to help everyone to be able to achieve that gorgeous look by having their lashes on point. Every 5-star review I read about my products gives me such a sense of pride and inspires me to get the brand out there as much as I can. Feeling confident in your appearance creates such a positive mindset, and I'm all about self-empowerment.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Seeing my brand in retailers not only across the country but across the globe is a dream come true for me.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Ultimately, all decisions are my responsibility, so that it can be stressful at times! Being a solo entrepreneur is a lot of work. It involves wearing multiple hats all the time!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Be one thousand percent committed and passionate about what it is you are doing - the authenticity behind the brand is critical. It's a crowded world out there. Start slow - which can be challenging but will pay off in the long run - grow to scale. Have your financial plan in place before you begin - it's crucial.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Don't give up - there are times you may want to - but stick with it. The rainbow always comes after the shower!
