Tell us about yourself
My family was always in the jewelry and real-estate businesses, which both quickly became a passion for me. I have a degree in Technology and one of my hobbies are automobiles. What motivates me every day is creating and designing jewelry which anyone can afford and wear in good health and happiness for generations to come. I also enjoy being a husband, father and supporting my community when and where they need me.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Giving my employees a work environment, they can call "home" each day. Also starting a new jewelry design/ manufacturing company in one of the hardest years within the industry which was 2015.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As my good friend always says a proper work-life balance. Taking care of each aspect of the business to ensure you get every piece of the puzzle in the correct spot is challenging but also rewarding.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Set goals and never lose focus. Do not pay attention to things you cannot control or do not pertain to your business or life.
- Hardly working (procrastinating), working slowly or doing the typical 8-hour workday, especially when you are first starting out, will only take you longer to achieve your full potential. Food for thought… if you set 30 days to complete a task then you do what it takes to complete it within 30 days, but if you set the same task at 10 days then you will complete it within 10 days.
- Do not be afraid to ask questions and even to make a mistake. However, when you do make mistakes, be sure you learn from it and are always moving the needle forward.
