What's your business, and who are your customers?

My company helps home improvement contractors learn a million-dollar skillset to grow, expand and raise their prices.

Tell us about yourself

I first started in drywall and paint in a city with a little over 100k. But found it hard to stay busy and get consistent cash flowing. I knew all I needed was one simple system for getting customers consistently, and after 12 years of trial and error, using things like radio, tv, and magazine ads, yard signs, mailers, and billboards to get customers, I was able to solve my problem, but it wasn’t until I began using the internet, was I able to see results and it completely changed my business. I created a system that has seen over 10k satisfied customers. Purchased an office on the busiest street in town and made high six figures for over ten years. I am motivated to teach contractors this same system to become the best at what they do in their city.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Right now, it's social media. I am obsessed with growing our company, and right now, my TikTok (@killercontractor) page sees over 1 million views a month.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest thing about owning a contracting business is getting paid consistently. Not knowing where your next job is going to come from.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

My top 3 tips for anyone looking to grow their business:

Become the most known. The expert in your city.
Make more offers.
Always be honest with each and every person you deal with. Always do what you say you will.
