What's your business, and who are your customers?
Blushbaby Lash & Makeup Studio provides eyelash extension services and makeup applications, bridal makeup, micro shading, lash lift, lash tint, brow lamination & brow tint. We also retail products in-studio and online. We pride ourselves on giving excellent customer service. 85% of our clients have been coming to us monthly for eight years :-)) We are truly like a family of women that love to look and feel good. Our clientele is CEO, Executives, teachers, stay-at-home moms, fellow entrepreneurs, doctors, nurses, fitness instructors, and more.
Tell us about yourself
Hi, My name is Khadija DeShong, and I am the owner of Blushbaby Lash & Makeup Studio. We are the 1st Makeup studio in Atlanta. We opened on December 12, 2011. I've been in the beauty industry for close to 30 years and saw a need for a place where women can get their makeup and lashes done that wasn't a makeup counter or a hair salon. What motivated me is I love making women look and feel beautiful. I love this industry and my career.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being in business for over ten years. Being able to employ a team of women who share the same passion I have. Mentoring people that want to start their own business.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

- Start a business you have a passion for.

I coach anyone who is a new or aspiring business owner to pursue their passion of being an entrepreneur. That is my passion for teaching how to start and grow your business to create generational wealth and be in control of your financial destiny.
