What's your business, and who are your customers?

Our business, Keystone Global, is a consulting firm and investment bank focused on construction and infrastructure industries. Our clients are contractors and others in the construction community, technology companies, and teams actively pursuing or who have recently won a construction project and need a financial advisor.

Tell us about yourself

I am passionate about our built environment and surrounding infrastructure as it allows us to live and work daily. I love seeing a new bridge built from start to finish, an innovative new museum or school going up, or playing a part in seeing our Nation's transit system improve. I was born into a construction family and have loved this industry for as long as I can remember. The people and projects motivate me to work harder every day. Growing the company and seeing others around me motivated and passionate keep me focused on improving continuously.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is seeing the business continue to grow, expand and take on new engagements. Seeing the light in our employees and watching them get excited about their work is very special. In addition to internal accomplishments, the opportunity to work on transformational projects is equally rewarding. Seeing Keystone's insights and hard work impact our environment and the communities around us is second to none.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things is that you cannot please everyone, and you won't win every contract or pursuit. But as long as you don't give up, stay passionate and enjoy what you do day in and day out, then you have already won.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Never give up, always be true to your vision and goals, and treat your employees as you would treat yourself.
