What's your business, and who are your customers?
We educate folks on outdoor cooking via live fire dishes, including bbq, smoking, grilling, and Dutch oven cooking, along with sharing the cowboy lifestyle. Our customers are folks who enjoy cooking or food in general and appreciate the simple pleasures in life.
Tell us about yourself
I first began cooking for hunters and ranches from my chuck wagon. That expanded into catering. However, within the last ten years, we've also taken our business online, which has allowed us to expand and reach a lot more folks who enjoy the Western and outdoor lifestyle. I have a passion for sharing food and stories and connecting with folks.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Reaching over 2 million subscribers on YouTube.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The buck has to stop with you. As an owner, you are the first and last line of defense, and you have to ensure that your brand is upholding all it stands for.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Be genuine and don't bend just because it seems to be the norm or the trend at the time. Be consistent and let it be your passion. It won't ever succeed if it doesn't come from the heart.
