Tell us about yourself
About ten years ago, I was struggling with my weight and health. After many diets and frustrating tips and tricks. I decided to work with a coach. Understanding that the journey is very individualized and needs to take years to create the sustainable habits changed my life. The passion grew as I was living a life I was truly happy about, creating and building a beautiful future! I had to continue with my studies to become a certified nutritional practitioner so that I could support others through their journey.
I created a program that I wanted to see in this world. After coaching over 800 people, I know that this is something I will continue to build for the rest of my life. I am so grateful for each and every individual that I connect with; they are what motivate me to continue to do what I do each day.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment thus far is being recognized and published by some major media. Global Woman Magazine, The Toronto Times, and Women in Business Magazine have recently published my Food Freedom Programs. As of most recently, I will be part of the Action and Ambition Podcast featured on entrepreneur.com!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Maintaining a positive mindset. Your brain is programmed to protect you, and the way it does this is by creating barriers to potential threats. These barriers are negative self-talk, creating excuses as to why it shouldn't happen, and creating procrastinating opportunities that feel safer and, therefore, more attractive. I believe having a strong why is important when being a business owner.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Invest in your understanding mindset. This will help you get through the tough times all entrepreneurs go through.
- Create boundaries for your workdays. There is something to be said about procrastination and time wasted. If you want to be successful, do this early on!
- Always take time for your own health. When you are sick or low energy, it is that much more of a struggle to show up to meetings, clients, or whatever the day needs from you. Prioritize this, and you will see the difference!
