What's your business, and who are your customers?

I’m a Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher who not only sees clients for one-on-one sessions but also teaches and certifies all levels of Usui/Holy Fire®️ Reiki. My offerings expand beyond reiki with workshops exploring pendulums, crystals, oracle cards, tarot cards, mediumship, and all things mystical. My clients range from other Reiki Masters to people who have no idea why they’re in my class; they just know they’re supposed to be there.

Tell us about yourself

As a preteen, I was drawn to witchy and unusual interests. As I grew into my teens and twenties, I found comfort and growth in a nearby town where there were psychic readings and metaphysical shops. I joined spirit circles for support, and this is where I first enjoyed receiving reiki and exploring my connection to this remarkable energy.

Eventually, I became my grandmother’s caregiver, and reiki presented itself to me once again, only this time, it was for my own reiki training. I knew in my level two training that I would continue to the master level so that I could share with others what had helped me so tremendously in my own life.

Reiki helped me with depression, grief, communication, self-love, self-exploration, and Divine connection. It allowed me to heal areas of myself that were preventing me from stepping into my purpose.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is that I now believe in myself. I got out of my comfort zone and said I’m worth it! I created opportunities for myself and took action.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest aspect of being a business owner is that it’s all on you. That’s also one of the most wonderful aspects. I set my own boundaries and decide what’s right for my mission.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know your product well and believe in it. Your excitement and knowledge will be your best sales tactic.
  2. If you haven’t already, take a business class and be your own advocate. Know your parameters.
  3. Be open to unexpected opportunities around every corner. Don’t be rigid in your plans; the world is constantly changing. Make sure you’re heart is in it, or don’t bother at all.
