What's your business, and who are your customers?
Art Luminous: Soul Refreshing Visual & Healing Arts. I primarily offer uplifting creative services and art. Currently, event entertainment services of body art and intuitive readings are my most popular offering, serving clients who create memorable events, both private and corporate. For my customers desiring support, peace, and inspiration, appointments for energy balancing, intuitive readings, and body art take place virtually or at a beautiful spa. They may also find this through original artwork or a soul portrait commission. Creating your vision for a logo or for your space through color consultation and specialty paint finishes achieves desired results for customers with a strong vision.
Tell us about yourself
The opportunity to paint some murals got me started on my dream of making a living as an artist. I was captivated by the magic of art and color to transform a space and the delight of my clients as their visions and ideas came to life. This process led me to rediscover my own intuition and down a path of healing and evolution on all levels, which naturally unfolded in my business as well. I am passionate about empowerment, people making their own best decisions, and sharing ways to manage our energy and sensitivity. I am jazzed to be a wellspring of presence and possibilities.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Bringing joy and peace to literally thousands of people. And I am still in love with it all in my 23rd year! I have rolled through recessions, and the pandemic and life happenings and inspiration grow every year.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
My biggest challenge is allowing creative growth and evolution by allotting pure creative time that is not pressured by financial or client constraints.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Number one is to stay focused on what excites YOU! Our excitement & enthusiasm is the engine for the business. Then pivot as needed based on results from your actions. Have alternate sources of income until the business really takes off and has a consistent income flow. This reduces financial stress and allows one to stay more light and creative. In my business, it has taken about 4-5 years to grow each segment, sometimes longer.
