What's your business, and who are your customers?
Styles By Katrina is a service-oriented fashion company. We pride ourselves on developing relationships with our clients that will last a lifetime, which transforms our client's wardrobes to fit their lifestyles. One thing we know about the experience with Styles By Katrina is more than clothes; it is a transformation! Our motto is "Where Fabulous Replaces Ordinary!" My customers are men and women that want to elevate and transform their style to the next level!
Tell us about yourself
I truly believe that I was born to do this! I was forced to start my business when I got laid off from Neiman Marcus in 2009, and after that, I decided to go back to school for my MBA, and during that time, I started my business. What motivates me each day to serve my clients because it gives me great pleasure when they begin to see the transformation during the process, and they begin to shift into true style and how they show up for themselves and the world.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is when my clients send me messages about how they feel about all of the compliments they receive and how great they feel when they look amazing.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that come with being a business owner for me is acquiring new clients on a consistent basis.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Here are three tips I will give someone that is looking to do business:
- Write down the end goal of your business.
- Invest in marketing your business along with word of mouth.
- Don't Give UP... even when you are not meeting your goals. Keep going!
